Endless
Endless
You have made me endless,
A delicate glass that you empty
And for your thirst refill
Repeatedly With bubbling liquid life
You have made me endless,
A silver flute that carries your breath
And fills the songless air
Sunrise to sunrise
With joyful melody
You have made me endless,
A slow dance in a figure of eight
That burns on marble floor
Always and always
With passionate longing.
I Beg the Favour
I beg the favour, Mistress, of a moment
To kneel at Your feet in tranquil devotion
The work i must do, the plans i have to make,
Let me put them aside for this obeisance.
Removed from the sight of Your divine beauty,
My heart cannot rest, my soul knows no respite
And my labours turn into meaningless toil,
The endless turn of the prisoner's treadmill.
This day in Your garden the butterfly flits,
The bee burrows into the mouths of flowers.
It is the time to kneel in contemplation
Of the overflowing Love of my Goddess.
Love
When Love in high stiletto heels
Descends the winding stair,
And turns the key that quick reveals
Her slave in dark despair;
When he hangs broken from her chain
And stretched upon her rack,
There are no stripes he'd rather gain
Than those upon his back.

Silence
Silence is the messenger of joy.
Thus when i kneel
My mouth opens but no utterance.
Silence is the messenger of joy.
Thus my dreamings
Have neither music nor breaking glass.
Silence is the messenger of joy.
So what of sorrow?
That too not even a whisper makes.
The Blinded Bird
You put out my eyes
To sweeten my song.
Caged, i trill for You
All night long.
I stumble and beat
My head on the bars.
My songs of sorrow
Reach the stars.
Notes of love, their wings
Far-spreading in flight,
Soar to Your feet and
There alight.
